When we say we are a place where you are welcome as an artist, no matter what labels others have given you.

What do we mean? We mean we recognize you as an artist. Not a white artist, or gay, or black or Filipino, or damaged goods, or too-rich-to-be believed or too poor to care about, or Muslim or immigrant or whatever. We don’t judge you by the worst day of your life. Or who you voted for in the last election.
You don’t get any points for any of that, sorry. What you get points for is creating art.
You can create art from your past or your future or something that grabbed you today or, heck, from a stray thought you had looking at someone else’s art. We don’t care if nobody else sees it as art, as long as you do. And, you’ll be happy (or surprised or nonplussed or stoic) to know that somebody else does see it as art.
You’re an artist here at Art Ecosystem. We focus on a person as an artist — each person comes to art through a different path, chased from different forces that have pushed us, maybe you’ve been pursued and boxed into being an artist, maybe you’ve denied that your basic self is an artist, or you’ve monomaniacally focused on what gives you meaning and purpose, or you’ve lived from freeing the artist within, you’ve discovered the simple joy of creating art, or creating whatever it is you want to call whatever it is that you do.
In other words, is art a guiding light for you or is being boxed out of everything else forcing you to seek the refuge of art? In any case, the only thing that matters is that, in Art Ecosystem, you are an artist.

You have no other label.

You are part of an ecosystem of art.
You’re safe here.
